Monsters of Beauty

Where’s your shame:
barging into dreams,
torturing with beauty?

Real or Unreal

Every night, before going to sleep,
I don’t need it. I set it down, my phone.
This is something towers can’t transfer;
no text message has such use.

Instead, I open my imaginary pill case,
and let out winged, imaginary happys—
i send them to all, to descend midst
the mush of brains, unclasping for dreams.

street song

wallets with bills,
head full of pills,
metal cars and
lonely bedsheets.

see me limp by
then say the “Hi.”
i’ll never know you.
so better: “Goodbye.”

friends, it’s not souls.
just the goals, the goals…

we’re sleeping,
dreaming,
american dreams.
